Hours: Up to 16 hours per week
Salary: £14.50 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a Family Support Officer to provide maternity cover in our Dundee office. As a Family Support Officer, you will work with families with children, providing emotional and practical support, and signposting them to available services. You will also engage with families and work to bring together experienced parents and carers to support other families as they start their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to families with children
- Signpost families to available services
- Engage with families and work to bring together experienced parents and carers to support other families
- Work as part of a small Family Support team
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of children and disability gained through professional or personal experience
- Ability to research and provide information to families
- Positive and kind individual who enjoys supporting others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
