We are seeking an experienced Educational Support Assistant to join our team in Colchester. The successful candidate will have excellent classroom management skills, a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and the ability to engage and motivate students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers
  • Ensure that students remain on task with the work set by the regular teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Provide support and assistance to students as needed
  • Liaise with teaching staff and school management to ensure effective cover arrangements

The salary for this role is estimated at £75-£90 per day, depending on experience. This is a competitive daily rate that reflects the importance of this role in supporting the education of our students.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably as an Educational Support Assistant
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
