Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and dynamic physiotherapist to join our team in Taunton & West Somerset Community Rehab Service. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will work with patients on their identified rehabilitation goals to reach their maximum potential and personal health & well-being in their own homes or local communities.

You will be working alongside occupational therapists, rehab assistants/practitioners, and pharmacy technicians while liaising with other health, social, and voluntary services. You will be supervising other staff and participating in the duty rota.

We run an in-service training programme and continually aspire to improve the service we deliver. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community.

The main aim of the Community Rehab Service is to enable patients to work towards their own identified goals in their own environments. This involves using enhanced knowledge and skills to assess and facilitate rehabilitation programmes with patients and their support network.

Key responsibilities include carrying out specific therapy assessments, devising rehabilitation programmes, and promoting independent functioning. You will also be expected to maintain good communication and liaison with other Trust teams, Trusts, and external agencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of further relevant training qualifications
