We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's dynamic finance team at their Wrexham Head Office. In this role, you will provide essential support and play a pivotal role within the finance function.

The Job
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial tasks and projects, including but not limited to:

  1. Performing balance sheet reconciliations to maintain the integrity of the company's financial statements.
  2. Overseeing cashflow management to ensure the company's liquidity and financial health is maintained.
  3. Producing the month-end accounting pack, ensuring all reports and documentation are accurate and submitted on time.
  4. Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  5. Maintaining fixed asset records and ensuring they are appropriately accounted for.
  6. Managing inter-company accounts, including performing inter-company reconciliations to ensure transparency across all accounts.
  7. Managing invoicing and performing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience in a similar accounting role.
  2. AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (candidates with other relevant qualifications will also be considered).
  3. Experience using Sage 50 accounting software is highly desirable.
  4. Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide clear insight.

Hours:

  1. Monday to Thursday: 08:00am - 16:30pm.
  2. Friday: 08:00am - 16:00pm.
  3. Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 pa + excellent modern benefits package.
