Lead Swimming Instructor

Stepping Stones is a leading private learn-to-swim provider in Scotland, delivering high-quality swimming lessons for children.

We are seeking Lead Swimming Teachers who can embark on an exciting career in swimming instruction. As a Stepping Stones instructor, you will be responsible for delivering our learn to swim framework to swimmers aged 3-11 years.

The core lesson delivery takes place during weekday afternoons and weekends, with various days and times available. You may also have the opportunity to take on additional hours on a temporary or permanent basis.

If you are not currently qualified and interested in becoming a swimming teacher, we offer a training and development programme to help you achieve your goal.

Key qualifications include:

• National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate
• SSTQ, UKCC, STA, ASA certifications
• NRASTC or NPLQ desirable but not essential

Main duties will include safe delivery of swimming lessons, progressing and developing each swimmer through our framework, assessment of swimmers for awards, and providing feedback as required.

We encourage our swimming teachers to be fun, friendly, and approachable. It's essential to adapt to each situation, recognising the needs of individual swimmers and their learning styles.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
