Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEND provision in Teesside. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning and have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting teachers in the classroom to ensure effective learning for children with SEND
  • Working one-to-one with children to provide individualized support and guidance
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation to ensure a tailored approach to learning
  • Communicating effectively with children, teachers, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of strategies to support children with SEND
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with children, teachers, and parents
  • Valid child workforce DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Reliable transportation to Teesside
