About the Role

As a Prison Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, and visitors in our prisons. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to reducing reoffending rates and providing a supportive environment for rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise prisoners in all aspects of prison wing activity, including work and education programs
  • Oversee operational matters such as prisoner headcounts, security, and administrative processes
  • Manage prisoners who are at risk of self-harm
  • Participate in a 10-week Initial Training Course (ITC) to develop skills and knowledge in custodial care, first aid, and control and restraint
