Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students from Early Years to Year 6, providing 1:1 assistance and leading small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for children in various year groups (EYFS to Year 6)
  • Supporting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
  • Assisting with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and reporting to teachers
  • Supporting children with additional needs, ensuring all students feel included and supported
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and policies in line with school guidelines

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Certificate
  • Experience working with children across primary school settings
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various school environments
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of SEND and differentiated learning
