The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is seeking a highly experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization at a pivotal time. With extensive responsibilities, including oversight of the Metropolitan Police Service, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the safety and confidence of Londoners.
Job DescriptionWe are recruiting the next permanent Chief Executive Officer for MOPAC to provide strong, effective leadership, including strategic planning and resource delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of strategy development, strong analytical abilities, and a good understanding of financial management and commissioning.
This role requires working closely with senior stakeholders at the Metropolitan Police Service, criminal justice agencies, London boroughs, the voluntary sector, and central Government to deliver a safer, fairer London for all. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing private office, policy, and secretariat support to ensure that the Mayor can discharge his statutory responsibilities.
BenefitsMOPAC offers an attractive range of benefits, including an estimated salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, a civil service pension with 27% employer contribution, 32.5 days' annual leave, interest-free season ticket loan, and flexible working arrangements. We have moved to a hybrid working model with office hubs at Union Street (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26). On average, staff will work 2-3 days a week from an Office Hub.
