Job Title: Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Education Support Assistant in a specialist SEN school for boys with SEMH. The successful candidate will provide academic and emotional support to students, enabling them to reach their full potential.

This School is a specialist provider of education for boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our expert staff work tirelessly to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters academic excellence, social growth, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students in lessons, promoting engagement and understanding.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, implementation, and assessment.
  • Help students develop essential life skills, such as time management, organization, and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, or a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to use digital tools to record data and communicate with staff.
