Job Title: Year 5 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at a larger than average primary school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting lower attaining children in Maths and English, leading small group interventions, and managing classroom behaviour.

Requirements:
  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • Experienced KS2 Practitioner
  • Confident with delivering engaging interventions
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Superb behaviour management
About the School:

The school has a diverse student body with children arriving from challenging backgrounds. The entry level is lower than National Average, particularly for Maths, Reading, and Writing. The class teacher will be planning small group intervention sessions for the successful candidate to lead three afternoons a week.

The Head Teacher is looking for a committed teaching assistant who can make a positive impact on the students' learning experience.
