Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to join our client's team in Workington, Cumbria. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, maintaining a safe working environment, and implementing effective maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  2. Lead a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure the effective maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
  4. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
  6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  5. Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in engineering or a related field.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £65,000 to £75,000, plus bonus and benefits. The opportunity to work for a leading chemical manufacturer and contribute to the success of the business.
