About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Smiths Detection. This apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for you to gain invaluable hands-on experience while working towards a BSc (Hons) in Professional Practice in Supply Chain Leadership.

As part of our team, you will play an essential role in the delivery of spare parts to internal and external customers, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. You will work closely with our 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) partners and Global Supply Chain team to maintain exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the spare parts delivery process to ensure internal and external customers receive orders on time
  • Collaborate with our 3PL and Global Supply Chain teams to maintain high customer service standards
  • Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems
  • Help ensure compliance with export regulations and logistics standards

Candidate Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years old before July 2024
  • The position is subject to satisfactory background checks and/or National Security Vetting
  • Level 2 qualifications in GCSE Maths and English
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for logistics, supply chain management, and delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a fast-paced work environment
