About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Aggreko's Dumbarton facility. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in developing new and existing products using established engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical systems designs that meet customer needs and company standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and OEMs to select components and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support and lead design reviews to ensure adherence to Aggreko's design process.
  • Create technical specifications, functional design specs, and test procedures for mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure smooth prototype build and Bill of Materials (BoM) completion.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance through product design and operational guidance.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience in design of industrial machines.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including analysis, material selection, and component selection.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, with knowledge of Creo desirable.
  • Experience with PLM systems, MRP systems, and engineering change control.
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously or as a key contributor within a small team.
