A leading construction consultancy in Scotland is seeking a skilled CDM Principal Designer to contribute to their team in Edinburgh. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promoting the highest standards of health & safety across diverse projects.

The Principal Designer's Responsibilities
  • The successful CDM Principal Designer will play a critical role in managing design risks and ensuring that projects adhere to safety regulations.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuring all projects comply with CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
  • Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and design teams on CDM compliance and safety best practices.
  • Working closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations from the design phase through to project completion.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS membership, or equivalent.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset to ensure effective safety management in all projects.
