Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Haydock. This long-term position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with SEND.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs. You will provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them engage and succeed in their learning. Your responsibilities will also include supporting student's emotional and social development in a safe, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive, structured learning space

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience supporting students with SEN needs. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children and young people is essential. Additionally, you must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.

Salary: £83.33-£85.00 per hour

Estimated Salary: £18,000-£20,000 per annum (dependent on hours worked)
