Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team at Coventry City Council.


The ideal candidate will have strong working relationships with children, young people, and their families, as well as colleagues and professionals from other agencies.


You will believe in providing a high-quality service that ensures the child is at the heart of everything we do. Your positive attitude and ability to work in a solution-focused way with families will be essential in this role.


To succeed, you must have strong intervention skills, an understanding of children's development, and experience working with parents and carers.


About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, multi-agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice and guidance to ensure families receive appropriate support.


In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding service to children and their families. You will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a guaranteed interview scheme for specific groups of people, including members of the Armed Forces and veterans, and those who consider themselves disabled or have a long-term health condition.
