Job OverviewWe are seeking a talented Editor with a strong background in social media to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping our editorial direction and enhancing our digital presence. The ideal candidate will excel in crafting compelling stories about the watch industry, including its key figures, business trends, and innovative products. You will work closely with our editorial team to ensure our content remains at the forefront of industry developments while maintaining our commitment to impartiality and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Content Creation: Write, edit, and oversee daily news and feature articles related to the watch industry. Ensure content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with our editorial standards.
- Social Media Integration: Utilize your expertise in social media to develop and implement strategies that amplify our content across various platforms. Monitor trends and audience engagement to drive content strategy.
- Story Development: Identify and pitch compelling story angles, conduct thorough research, and frame stories to capture audience interest and provide valuable insights.
- Editorial Oversight: Edit content for clarity, coherence, and style. Collaborate with writers and other editors to maintain a consistent voice and high editorial standards.
- Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, key developments, and emerging products to ensure we remain a leading source of information.
- Event Coverage: Provide comprehensive coverage of major industry events and awards, contributing to our reputation as a leading voice in the watch community.
- Experience: Proven experience in a social media-focused editorial role, with a track record of creating and curating engaging content. Prior experience in journalism or a similar field is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high-quality content quickly under pressure. Expertise in leveraging social media platforms to enhance content reach and engagement.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of digital media trends and audience behavior. While a passion for watches is not required, familiarity with the industry would be advantageous.
