About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Speech and Language Therapist to join our innovative team based in Teddington, part of the greenest borough in London. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Job Overview

This role involves delivering assessment and management for pre-school and school-age children with speech, language or communication difficulties, ensuring an effective and responsive service to the changing needs of the local population across Richmond.

You will work effectively as part of a wider team and have experience working with pre-school and school-aged children, including those with additional needs, as well as with their families/key professionals.

  • Deliver assessment and management for pre-school and school-age children with speech, language or communication difficulties.
  • Ensure effective joint working practice between the SLT service, other speech & language therapists (SLT) and other relevant professional teams.
  • Deliver training to parents and professionals to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Provide group and individual therapy for pre-school children with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
Requirements

We require a degree / diploma or other professional Speech and Language Therapy qualification, registered with HCPC. Experience of working with relevant caseload during training / subsequent work for relevant client group is also essential.

Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage time and demonstrate highly developed prioritisation skills, and knowledge of assessment tools relevant to the client group and a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
