We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Residential team as a Senior Support Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our young people who may display challenging behaviors.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide exceptional care and support to our young people. You will be responsible for deputizing for the Registered Manager and providing leadership and guidance to our Support Workers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Safeguarding and Welfare:** Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of our children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • **Care Planning:** Work with the Registered Manager to develop and implement individual care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • **Team Leadership:** Provide leadership and guidance to our Support Workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • **Communication:** Develop and maintain effective relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring open and transparent communication.

**Requirements:**

  • **Experience:** Minimum 18 months of experience working in a residential setting, with a proven track record of providing high-quality care and support.
  • **Qualifications:** Achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • **Skills:** Ability to interact with a range of people, including young people with challenging behaviors, and to provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers.
  • **Shift Work:** Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties, as part of a rota system.
