Job Summary

Community Paediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatrician to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Community Paediatrician, you will be responsible for providing medical support and guidance to our multidisciplinary teams, working directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaising with other external health providers and acute hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children, and young people across Barking & Dagenham.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota.
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative.

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health.
