Academic Support Professional

Teaching Personnel is a leading provider of education recruitment services, and we are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Poulton-le-Fylde. This role focuses on supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges in small group settings.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a supportive primary school, providing vital support to students who require additional help. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills, and encouraging positive relationships between students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- To provide individualized support to students with SEMH challenges
- To create engaging lesson plans and activities to promote social skills and emotional well-being
- To maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- To collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH challenges
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of SEMH challenges and their impact on children's behavior
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding protocols
- Enhanced DBS check and relevant qualifications
We offer a competitive salary of £12.50 per hour, depending on experience. We also provide free child protection and prevent duty training to all our registered candidates.
