About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair procedures on light and heavy goods vehicles, using your own personal toolkit and specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic checks to identify and rectify any issues with vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet maintenance operations.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Qualified mechanic with an advanced level qualification (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV and HGV.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • High working standards and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to service demands and willing to support the team as needed.
