Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at Birketts. As a key member of our wellbeing team, you will provide proactive and effective wellbeing support to our employees, delivering occupational health services that promote a healthy and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive advice and guidance to line managers, HR colleagues, and employees on fitness for work and necessary adjustments.
  • Review pre-employment health questionnaires and provide guidance on medical concerns to the HR team.
  • Complete the first stage of annual medical screening process for senior staff.
  • Provide appointments to discuss physical or mental health-related issues and discuss options for support.
  • Signpost employees to relevant support options and promote internal support initiatives.
  • Assist with staff referrals to our external Occupational Health Doctor.
  • Attend team meetings to highlight the importance of health and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our firm-wide wellbeing strategy.
  • Monitor and report common themes or areas for concern.
  • Provide ad-hoc promotions such as health checks and screenings.

Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering corporate occupational health services and health assessments.
  • NMC registration as an adult nurse or registration in progress.
  • Mental Health First Aid Training (preferred).
  • Phlebotomy skills preferred but not essential.
