We are seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to join our Housing Standards Team in Dorset. As a leading local authority in the southwest of England, we offer a unique opportunity to develop your career in a beautiful and thriving region.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Environmental Health and relevant experience in enforcement or housing-related fields. We encourage applications from recent graduates as well as experienced professionals looking for a new challenge.

This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a generous relocation package of up to £8,000, tax-free. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training opportunities and a range of employee benefits.

About the Role

As an Environmental Health Specialist, you will work on a wide range of private sector housing topics, including innovative service delivery, partnership working, digital solutions, project work, and risk-based enforcement. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Environmental Health and relevant experience in enforcement or housing-related fields. A full driving license is essential, and you will be required to travel extensively throughout Dorset. A Basic Criminal Records Check will also be conducted.
