About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients in our community rehabilitation hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist with rehabilitation programs, including exercises and therapy sessions
  • Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification in Care (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) or equivalent
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting patient autonomy
