SEMH Support Worker

A dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant is required for a school in Worthing, supporting students with additional SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SEMH needs, helping them develop positive behaviours and coping strategies
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and classroom organisation
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, adapting approaches as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for students to thrive
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents to support student progress
- Proven experience working with SEMH students or in a behaviour management role within an educational setting
- Strong behaviour management skills with a proactive, patient, and resilient approach
- Own reliable transport, as local travel may be required
- Ability to work full time, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
