Main Duties of the Job
We are offering a rewarding opportunity for a Practice Nurse to integrate into a welcoming and committed practice environment. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of Practice Nursing duties, including assisting in and performing routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GPs, cytology, wound care, and more.
About the Role
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GPs
- Cytology
- Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler and Removal of Sutures/Venepuncture
- New Patient Medicals/Urinalysis
- ECGs/Asthma/Peak Flow Readings/Spirometry
- Routine immunizations/Childhood immunisations
- Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings
- Requesting pathology tests
- Hypertension Management, Diabetes or Coronary Heart Disease and Contraception.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by the nurses and GPs
- Maintaining GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
- Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
- Maintain stock of waiting room leaflets and Health Promotion Literature
- Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
