About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our schools across South Yorkshire.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to provide individualized support to students with varying disabilities.

Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group and one-to-one support, and contributing to the development of students' learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support students with SEND in their learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a patient and understanding approach, a passion for supporting students with SEND, and a flexible and open nature.

Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND is preferred but not essential. Team Teach or Moving and Handling training is also desirable but not required.
