We are looking for a highly skilled Special Education Needs (SEN) Tutor to join our team at Remedy Education in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work 1:1 with students who require additional support and make a real difference in their lives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other needs. You will be responsible for teaching core subjects and sensory work, using differentiated techniques to meet the individual needs of each student.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in teaching (QTS) or 1 year's experience in primary or secondary schools
  • At least 2 years' experience working with SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD
  • A passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences
  • Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • An ability to apply differentiated techniques in planning and teaching
  • A knowledge of different learning styles and how to use them
  • An ability to deal with behaviour issues
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
