Steel Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Steel Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team at Cornerstone Project Source. As a Steel Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by liaising with clients, estimating costs, calculating material requirements, and mapping out project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients to understand their project requirements and provide expert advice on steel quantities and costs.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and valuations for steel projects, taking into account material quantities, labor costs, and other expenses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Steel Quantity Surveyor or in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of structural steel and architectural metalwork, including industry software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
