The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to perform various surgical procedures, provide medical care to animals, and work closely with the veterinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing surgical procedures such as operations, caesarean sections, and other complex surgeries;
  • Providing medical care to animals, including diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries;
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and veterinary nurses to develop treatment plans and provide patient care;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest veterinary techniques and advancements in animal medicine;
  • Working effectively with the veterinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in veterinary medicine or surgery;
  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a qualified Veterinary Surgeon;
  • Experience in performing surgical procedures and providing medical care to animals;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the veterinary team and clients;
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
