Senior Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at German Gymnasium. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing and orchestrating all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality and service execution.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume restaurant environment, where you will have the chance to showcase your culinary expertise and leadership skills. As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and orchestrate all kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service execution and high-quality food preparation.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in food preparation and service.
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of Swiss, Austrian, and German cuisine.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
