Our Expertise: Oracle Cloud ERP, Financial, HR & Payroll

We are seeking an Oracle Fusion Financial Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion in the following modules:

  • Fusion General Ledger (GL)
  • Financial Accounting Hub (FAH)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake detailed analysis on Vanilla IR products booked within Murex
  • Provide expert guidance to both Technology and Finance on data flow, trade transformation, accounting processes required to ensure accurate accounting of P&L and balance sheet within Oracle Financial Accounting Hub and General Ledger systems
  • Ensure accounting is accurately captured and processed within Oracle Financial Accounting Hub & Oracle General Ledger ERP applications
  • Ensure data is accurately represented on outbound XML messages as well as end of day reporting extracts
  • Ensure trade events are captured and processed accurately and interpreted by the trade Subledger and general ledger
  • Advise on best practice approach on accounting methods for trade cashflows for settlement and valuations for P&L and Balance Sheet looking at accruals, MTM, additive vs reverse-replace etc
  • Ensure accounting adjustments can be processed either through trade tickets, or local Finance adjustments within the subledger or general ledger
  • Ensure financial reporting considerations/constraints are incorporated into the trade accounting interface design and construction
  • Work in a co-ordinated manner around go-live activities, ensuring services are transitioned into the live production environment in a manner which is compliant with technology policy and non-disruptive to the business
  • Ensuring due diligence is applied and the systems are rigorously tested prior to user acceptance testing
  • Work with the software vendor, raising tickets with any product defects
  • Highlight risks or concerns ensuring items are followed up or escalated appropriately

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with financial investment products including Vanilla IR
  • Accounting qualifications (full or part qualified) which supports an understanding of technical accounting requirements on IFRS, UK-GAAP, etc
  • Understand the needs of a Finance organization and be comfortable around financial reporting disclosures, month-end processes, year-end P&L accounting, financial adjustments etc
  • Have experience of Subledger and General Ledger applications for financial accounting
  • Be flexible, particularly when working on rolling out system changes in non-business hours
  • Have experience working on documenting testing and be familiar with the various types of technology testing which needs to be undertaken to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose
  • Have experience of Oracle General Ledger
