Join a small, close-knit team of service engineers working on Demag cranes and lifting gear. The team is led by an experienced field service engineer who prioritizes realistic workloads, ongoing training, and the right equipment for the job.

Compensation

  • Total earnings range from £45,000 to £48,000, comprising a basic salary of approximately £40,000 and overtime plus paid travel time worth around £5,000 to £8,000.
  • A basic salary of £40,000, with additional earnings from overtime and paid travel time.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses are covered.
  • The role involves working mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.
  • The team uses modern equipment, including Siemens controls, camera guidance, and digital alignment devices.

Job Activities

  • Carry out servicing visits on cranes and overhead lifting gear at industrial sites as part of the lifting gear and cranes service engineer role.
  • Perform routine lifting gear safety checks, inspection, and replacement of electrical components, checking sensors and contacts, servicing, and replacing moving parts.
  • Support colleagues with installing new equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems and make repairs.
  • Upgrade and modify equipment.
  • Assist the assembly team at HQ with wiring electrical components on new equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
