We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Mcr Property Group in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading independent real estate investment and development company, with a strong UK presence and offices in key cities.

About the Role

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly management accounts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site management teams to provide financial support and guidance.
  • Manage and take ownership of a portfolio of property accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial information.
  • Prepare analysis and reports as required for audit and tax purposes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Input financial transactions into the property accounting system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

About You

  • You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA etc.), with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Experience in property or construction is preferred but not essential, as we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • You will be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
