We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Dexters Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our site, including the supervision of yard operatives, management of work activities, and implementation of procedures and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Daily management and prioritization of all work activities to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Supervision: Supervision of yard operatives, including welfare, discipline, timekeeping, and adherence to local policy and work instructions.
- Project Management: Yard operatives overtime and project work scope scheduling.
- Procedure Implementation: Implementation and review of procedures and risk assessments.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safe working practices defined within operating procedures and risk assessments, and reporting any weaknesses or concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Permit to Work: Control of permit to work system on site when applicable.
- Contractor Management: Manage 3rd party contractors for scheduled maintenance activities and ensure compliance with agreed site standards.
- Maintenance and Inspections: Ensuring all internal site maintenance, inspections, and periodic tests are carried out within the required time frame.
- Waste Management: Control of yard waste ensuring collections are requested in a timely manner.
- Fuel Management: JET-A-1 Fuel stock management and reporting of stock inventory to the customer as required.
- Customer Liaison: Customer liaison in the absence of the Operations Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in operations management, with experience in supervising teams and managing day-to-day activities. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders.
