About the Role

We are seeking a talented Commissioning Editor to join our team at Penguin Random House. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for seeking out and developing innovative and exciting projects to grow our successful non-fiction list for children aged 0–7.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and acquire new non-fiction titles for children aged 0–7
  • Develop and grow our successful non-fiction list
  • Work closely with authors, agents, and other stakeholders to bring new ideas to life
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure high-quality content
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in children's non-fiction publishing
  • Strong market knowledge and a proven track record of commissioning successful non-fiction titles
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A creative and proactive approach to developing new ideas and formats
