Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in various clinical settings.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Collect blood samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics
  • Liaise with clinicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Perform venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform reception and telephone duties

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • GCSE Maths or equivalent

  • Previous laboratory work experience (desirable)
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare environment (desirable)
