Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Treasury Specialist to provide critical support to our finance department at Essential Employment. The successful candidate will ensure effective management of revenue and capital accounting processes.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Revenue and Capital Accounting: Oversee the production of accounting entries, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Statement of Accounts: Prepare and submit the Statement of Accounts, Group Accounts, and other required statutory returns.
  3. Treasury and VAT Expertise: Provide authoritative guidance on taxation and VAT matters.
  4. Capital Strategy and Monitoring: Participate in the development of capital strategy, contributing to policy formulation and practices across nominated councils, while producing regular capital monitoring reports.
  5. Treasury Strategy Alignment: Work closely with the Finance Manager to align the Treasury Strategy with the Council's capital spending plans and cash flow forecasts.

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately £500 per day, reflective of local market rates and industry standards.
