About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Planate Management Group.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead efforts to design and manage architect and engineering (A&E) and construction activities for USAID projects, specifically the recent Health Reform and Recovery Activity in Ukraine. This role involves overseeing project delivery from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget results while meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop project plans, designs, and budget estimates, reviewing and approving technical construction designs, including statements of work and building plans.Track and manage project expenditures to meet financial goals.Conduct site visits to assess project deliverables, monitor progress, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.Coordinate with USAID bureaus/offices, USG agencies, UN, and multilateral partners regarding Agency Construction Policies and Construction Risk Management.Manage project risks and issues, taking appropriate mitigating actions.Ensure projects adhere to standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines.Develop and deliver infrastructure guidance materials, such as training, reports, case studies, or media as needed.Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives, and timelines.Lead project teams, providing direction to ensure project success.Work in rapidly changing environments, often exceeding normal business hours.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, essential.
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • Preferably, Ukrainian language proficiency.
  • At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure design, management, and oversight of related procurement and services.
  • Experience on USAID or donor-funded infrastructure projects is crucial.
  • A strong understanding of USAID construction standards and regulations.
