Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in assisting with the implementation of all commercial aspects of the project, working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor and site delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the commercial team in implementing work-winning strategy at procurement stage
  • Identify risks and opportunities, and engage with subcontractors to assist with tender enquiries
  • Assist with the implementation of the Tender Event Schedule and prepare Tender Documentation
  • Analyse tender returns and participate in the negotiation process to propose subcontractors
  • Prepare Sub-Contract Orders and take responsibility for selected trade packages

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the construction process, including new build and fit-out/refurbishment
  • Experience in the majority of the above roles and responsibilities
  • Degree qualified or NVQ, BTEC or Higher equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years full-time experience in a surveying role with a leading reputable main/principal contractor
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packages
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
