About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our inpatient pharmacy services across the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a member of our senior management team, you will oversee the development and implementation of pharmacy services, ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take operational responsibility for the provision, management, and strategic direction of inpatient medicines management services.
  • Implement and monitor clinical pharmacy standards, working closely with the Chief and Deputy Chief Pharmacist to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and develop pharmacy staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services.
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders to drive innovation and improvement in medicines management.
  • Represent pharmacy at local governance meetings, providing expert advice on prescribing and medicine management.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Postgraduate qualification in leadership or management
  • Member of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with at least 5 years' postgraduate experience
  • Working towards being a Designated Prescribing Practitioner
  • 3 years' experience of working in Mental Health services
  • Knowledge and understanding of Clinical Governance
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings
