We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering and Maintenance Director to join our team at Hyper Recruitment Solutions. As the Engineering and Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.

You will also be responsible for planning, budgeting, and scheduling facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Additionally, you will oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facilities expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a key member of the management team, providing strategic leadership and direction to the Engineering and Maintenance department.

2. Set budgets, update spend forecasts, and maintain efficient use of the Maintenance Budget.

3. Lead department quality and safety audits, maintaining records for regulatory purposes to current legislation, including Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Adhere to site change controls.

4. Coordinate the team to ensure shut-downs are planned and executed as per agreed timelines.

5. Support the CI Engineer with the team to remove recurring faults (identify root cause).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

1. A strong background in engineering, with experience coordinating maintenance for mechanical and electrical equipment.

2. Proven industry experience in a highly regulated cGMP manufacturing environment, such as the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Biopharmaceutical sectors.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with total quality systems such as QSR/GMP or ISO 9001.
