Women's Health Service Manager

**Job Overview**
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Women's Health Service Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our gynaecology ward, ensuring that we provide the highest level of care to our patients.
**About the Role**
This leadership position plays a crucial part in driving excellence in patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for managing staff resources, developing policies and procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding results.
**Responsibilities**
Broadly speaking, your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with medical staff to ensure optimal bed usage and effective deployment of staff resources;
- Organising daily work schedules and off-duty rotas to guarantee the right skill mix and staffing levels for our patients' needs;
- Collaborating with other service providers to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and nutrition within our unit;
- Ensuring adherence to trust policies and procedures, as well as implementing new ones as necessary;
- Maintaining a professional image and uniform policy for our team members;
- Assisting or leading recruitment processes for the unit;
- Acting up as required.
**Training and Education**
You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest IV training programs (levels 1 and 2) and remain competent in all areas of clinical practice. Additionally, you will need to ensure that all staff have the appropriate level of training and offer relevant support. You may also be required to present at training days and conferences, as well as share your expertise with nursing staff within the trust and externally.
**Teamwork and Collaboration**
Effective communication and collaboration are essential skills for this role. You will need to liaise closely with the surgical team and other members of the multidisciplinary team to promote the highest standard of patient care. Participating in the on-call rota for hospital cover out of hours and representing the unit at the Band 7 forum are also important aspects of this position.

**Salary**
The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
