About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local school in St Albans. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist pupils with their learning, providing individualized support and encouragement
  • Help to manage and support the behavior of pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
  • De-escalate any behavioral concerns in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Take initiative in the classroom to support pupils and aid the class teacher

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other support staff
  • Proven track record of supporting pupils in a similar role
  • Right to work in the UK
