We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Nursery Apprentice. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in childcare, while working towards a nationally recognized qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating a warm and stimulating environment for children to develop emotionally, socially, and educationally.
- Providing care and support for children, including washing, changing, and feeding, under supervision.
- Acting as a key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them.
- Completing apprenticeship work as set by Showcase Training Assessor.
- Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Adhering to nursery policies and procedures.
Training and Development:
- NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (15 months) or NCFE/CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator (18 months).
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (unless exempt).
Working Hours and Salary:
This is a 40-hour per week, Monday to Friday role, with a salary of £40 per hour, increasing to National Minimum/Living Wage after 12 months of employment.
Please note that you will need to be able to travel to the nursery on a daily basis.
