The Coastal Operations Manager will lead a team of Welcome & Service Assistants and volunteers at our coastal car parks across North Devon. This role involves managing visitor management in our car parks at peak times, leading the team to deliver great visitor engagement, upholding our high presentation standards, and working towards achieving financial budgets including membership recruitment targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Welcome & Service Assistants and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive visitor experience.
  • Lead the team to achieve financial budgets and membership recruitment targets.
  • Work closely with the Experience & Visitor Programming Manager to set positive and challenging objectives.
  • Engage with visitors to inspire support through membership and help visitors to enjoy their visit.
  • Use strong communication skills to keep the team informed and ensure a close link between the team and the rest of the portfolio.
  • Support wider programming opportunities and activities to ensure quality conversations continue throughout the visitor journey.

Requirements:

  • Good practical experience in visitor business, in tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment.
  • Good IT skills (all MS Office).
