Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a midwife with a passion for perinatal mental health to work alongside our established team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the specialist midwife, facilitating support groups, and working closely with the PMH and IAPT teams. The role also involves working in our community setting, providing high-quality care and advice to women and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Perinatal Mental Health Teams in care planning and assessment of women and families with mental health concerns
  • Working closely with community and charitable agencies to link women and families into additional support at the earliest opportunity
  • Engaging in public health initiatives and projects to improve outcomes for women and families with mental health concerns
  • Contributing to pre-birth planning, Multidisciplinary Team meetings, and case conferences to ensure effective information sharing
  • Attending internal Psychosocial meetings to support mental health leads

Requirements:

  • Registered Midwife with current registration with the NMC
  • First degree in Midwifery or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of post-qualification education activity and safeguarding post-qualification education
  • Completion of a preceptorship programme or equivalent, with evidence of working in various settings
