About the Position

We are looking for a talented Communications Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Communications department, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communications strategies to engage stakeholders and promote our organization's work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement proactive media handling plans to secure national and local announcements, ethnic minority focused media, and consumer media coverage.
  • Manage reactive media handling, call handling/rebuttal, and media monitoring to ensure timely responses to media inquiries.
  • Utilize free media and low-cost PR tactics to recruit new donors and promote our organization's work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to source stories and information, and develop joined-up communications plans.
  • Build relationships with case studies, influencers, and media to encourage the public to become blood and organ donors.

As a skilled communicator, you will be required to travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when necessary, with prior notice.
